Phototherapy/ Excimer light treatment

Excimer light treatment in Kochi Kerala

Phototherapy for vitiligo and psoriasis

What is phototherapy treatment?

Phototherapy treatment uses ultraviolet (UV) light of a particular wavelength to bring about immunological changes in the skin.

The light that is absorbed by the skin suppresses the immunological cells called T cells, natural killer cells and the cytokines produced by these cells. In vitiligo, phototherapy also stimulates the melanocytes (colour producing cells) around the hair roots to proliferate, thereby helping in repigmentation of white patches in vitiligo.

At Twacha Skin and Hair Clinic, Kochi, we are proud to have one of the best UVB light systems in the world - Excimer 308 from Alma Lasers.

Twacha Skin and Hair Clinic offers phototherapy treatment for vitiligo and psoriasis using a hand held device that is simple, less time- consuming, less cumbersome to patient and is more targeted.
